Patriot League Men's Soccer Academic Honor Roll
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Patriot League men's soccer teams combined to place 120 student-athletes on the sport's Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the fall semester.
Bucknell led all schools with 21 honorees, while Loyola University Maryland tallied 16, American had 14, Boston University notched 13 and Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy each totaled 11.
Each of the 11 student-athletes named to the Men's Soccer Academic All-Patriot League squad also received a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, including Army junior Portuguese major and 2013 Patriot League Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year Winston Boldt.
American's Jordan Manley (Business Administration), Bucknell's Patrick Figgie (Mechanical Engineering) and Joe Meyer (Mechanical Engineering), Colgate's Nick Arpey (Economics) and Loyola's Brennan Goldsmith (Business), Antony Sare (Undeclared) and Thurman Van Riper (Accounting) each achieved a 4.00 grade-point average in the fall semester.
Student-athletes who made the honor roll for a fourth time included Meyer, Arpey, American's Colin Seigfreid, Lafayette's Erik Cannon and Nathan McDonald and Navy's Dave Arnold and Zach Davis.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the semester of their sport's competition.
