Patriot League Men's Soccer Academic Honor Roll Get Acrobat Reader

Center Valley, Pa. - Army's Andrew Kydes, the 2009 Patriot League Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is one of 94 men's soccer student-athletes named to this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Kydes, a senior civil engineering major, earned a 3.71 grade-point average for the fall term, Kydes' teammate Mitch Johnson had a 4.07 fall grade-point-average, the highest among Patriot League men's soccer players. Johnson was one of seven student-athletes to achieve a 4.0 GPA or better. Also claiming 4.0 GPAs were American's Jon Freimark, Colgate's Colin Prather, Lafayette's Matt Reichenbach and Navy teammates Connor McCubrey and Sam Miller.

American led all teams with 16 student-athletes on the honor roll, while Bucknell and Lafayette each had 15. Colgate placed 12 on the list, followed by Navy (11), Army (10), Lehigh (9) and Holy Cross (6).

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester.
