Army's A.J. Glubzinski Named 2008-09 Patriot League Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Army men's soccer student-athlete A.J. Glubzinski has already graduated from West Point, but he claimed another Patriot League honor on Wednesday. Glubzinski was selected as the 2008-09 Patriot League Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, it was announced by Patriot League Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich. Glubzinski earned the Patriot League's highest honor after being named the 2008 Patriot League Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year in November.

Holy Cross' Jerry Dickinson Awarded Fulbright Grant
Senior defender Jerry Dickinson (Pittsburgh, Pa.), a member of the Holy Cross men's soccer team, has been awarded a Fulbright Grant to work and study at the University of Witwatersrand School of Law and the Centre for Applied Legal Studies in Johannesburg, South Africa. A member of the College Honors Program with a double major in political science and sociology, Dickinson will study and conduct research on race, human rights and housing policy; and will examine how to best serve the interests of low-income black African families in Johannesburg. He will also work as a paralegal intern under the supervision of litigators and researchers representing families who have been evicted from their homes, beginning in January of 2010.

Brandt Named NSCAADivision IIICoach of the Year
Newly-hired Navy men's soccer coach Dave Brandt added another award to his resume recently, as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) named him as the NSCAADivision IIICoach of the Year announced at its annual convention. It marks the fourth time that Brandt has won the award, also taking home honors in 2000, 2002 and 2004. Only legendary Indiana coach Jerry Yeagley (6) has won more NSCAACoach of the Year honors.
