Center Valley, Pa. - Army's Scott Rosenshein, the 2009 Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is one of 97 men's lacrosse student-athletes named to this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
A native of Montclair, N.J., Rosenshein is a five-time Dean's List selection at West Point and was named to the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Academic Honor Roll in 2007 and 2008. He is the first men's lacrosse student-athlete to be enrolled in the prestigious Scholarship Program at Army. Rosenshein is joined on the Academic Honor Roll by three student athletes who have attained 4.0 GPAs or better during the spring semester. Andrew Maisano, a junior at Army studying Systems Engineering, earned a 4.16 GPA for his academic excellence. Bobby and Joe Lennon, Navy teammates and brothers, round out the list of perfect GPAs as both recorded 4.0 marks in the spring semester.
Bucknell paced all Patriot League schools with 22 student-athletes making the Academic Honor Roll. Lafayette tallied 20 student-athletes for Honor Roll selection, while Army placed 15 on the list.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's spring championship sports. The criteria for awarding varsity letters are different at each institution.
