BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Cameron and Roman Lao-Gosney have been named Scholar All-Americans, as recently announced by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). The senior midfielders become Lehigh's third and fourth honorees over the past three seasons, respectively, following Evan Guerrero in 2010 and Jonathan Stumpf last year.

More than 70 student-athletes across Division I, II and III were named Scholar All-Americans. Lehigh's two honorees are the most in program history; the Mountain Hawks had one in 2002, 2003, 2006, 2010 and 2011.

Cameron and Roman enjoyed tremendous success on the field and in the classroom over their stellar careers, owning cumulative GPAs well over 3.0 while co-captaining the Mountain Hawks to their first-ever Patriot League Title and NCAA Tournament berth. They both played in last Friday's prestigious North-South Game, along with classmate Adam Johnston.

Cameron has garnered a 3.18 GPA as a Philosophy major, earning a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll while garnering the Faculty Athletics Council Award for a semester GPA over 3.20. On the field, Cameron scored 13 goals and nine assists this season to earn Second Team All-League honors for a second time (also following his sophomore year). He wrapped up his career with 111 points (77 goals, 34 assists), posting 24, 30 and 35 points over his first three seasons, respectively.

Meanwhile, Roman enjoyed a breakout season in 2012 to earn First Team All-Patriot League and Third Team All-America recognition. He was just as stellar in the classroom, owning a 3.30 GPA, also as a Philosophy major, and a two-time member of the Academic All-Patriot League Team. Roman had a career-high 26 points in 2012, finishing his career with 69 (47 goals, 22 assists). Lao-Gosney enjoyed a strong performance against Maryland in the NCAA Tournament, scoring a goal and adding an assist against one of the nation's stingiest defenses.

Both Cameron and Roman played roles in the new lacrosse movie, Crooked Arrows, which premiered on Friday, May 18 in select theatres.
