CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - A trio of Patriot League Men's Lacrosse players were named Senior CLASS All-America, in a release Saturday from Premier Sports Management.

Lehigh defenseman Ty Souders was named to the Senior CLASS All-America first team and a pair of Loyola teammates, Joe Fletcher and Justin Ward, were recognized on the second team.

The Senior CLASS program is an acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School and recognizes students that use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.

Souders captained the Mountain Hawks to the championship game of the Patriot League tournament and recorded a career-high 44 groundballs and 14 caused turnovers this season as the quarterback of the nation's third-ranked defense.

The Macungie, Pa. native has been named to the All-Patriot League and Academic All-League teams in each of the last three seasons and has been involved with Make a Wish, MS Society and community outreach programs while at Lehigh.

Fletcher the 2014 Patriot League Scholar-Athlete for Men's Lacrosse and the League's Defensive Player of the Year, is a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award as the nation's top player.

Last week, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association made Fletcher a first team All-America selection, a USILA Scholar All-America and the William C. Schmeisser Award as the nations Outstanding Defensive Player.

Ward was was the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year and a member of the Academic All-Patriot League team. He was also a USILA All-America and Scholar All-America whose 3.12 assists per game this year ranked second in Division I.

Princeton senior Tom Schreiber, an All-America midfielder, was named the overall 2014 Senior CLASS Award winner for Men's Lacrosse.
