Six Patriot League men's lacrosse student-athletes were selected to play in the 2008 USILA Senior North/South Game. The contest will take place Friday as part of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship weekend in Foxborough, Mass. Those selected to the North team were Army's Justin Bokmeyer and James Larson and Colgate's Matt Lalli and Chris Eck. Bucknell's Mark Lane and Lehigh's Freddy Cassilly were chosen to play for the South team.
The 67th Annual USILA North/South Senior All-Star Games will take place at Harvard Stadium as part of a triple header. The Division III game will be played at 2:00 p.m. and the Division I/II game will be played at 4:00 p.m. followed by the Boston Cannons game vs. the Rochester Rattlers at 7:00 p.m.
Bokmeyer led the Black Knights with 24 goals this season and added nine assists for 33 points. Larson was a First-Team All-Patriot League selection as a defenseman on an Army squad that allowed just 7.13 goals per game.
Raider duo Lalli and Eck both became three-time All-Patriot League honorees this season by earning first-team status in 2008. Lalli racked up 47 points on 20 goals and 27 assists and moved to seventh on the Patriot League's career assists list with 95 over four years. Eck was first in the Patriot League in face-off win percentage (.609) and picked up a League-best 83 ground balls.
As a midfielder Lane appeared in 14 games for the Bison this season. He scooped up 25 ground balls and had five points on one goal and four assists.
Cassilly recorded 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points this season for the Mountain Hawks. He added 19 ground balls over 15 games.
