CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - If the first night of Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Tournament is any indication, fans in Baltimore, Md. are in for a great weekend of action as play moves to the Ridley Athletic Complex for the final three games to determine the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

In the first quarterfinal contest on Tuesday, Colgate hosted Bucknell in a match that topped the exciting 9-8 affair the two teams waged in early March. After trading scoring runs over the first 60 minutes that left the score tied at 9-9 at the end of regulation, Matt Clarkson followed up his own shot and found the net with 1:48 left in the second overtime to give the Raiders a 10-9 victory at Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, N.Y.

Bucknell's Todd Heritage had tied the game at 9-9 with his fourth goal of the game with 3:18 left in regulation. Ryan Joseph matched Heritage with four goals for the Bison (7-8) who led 7-4 with less than four minutes remaining in the third quarter before Colgate mounted a comeback.

Clarkson's first goal of the game early in the fourth quarter tied the score at 7-7. Kevin Adams had a hat trick for the Raiders while Clarkson and Brendon McCann netted two goals apiece.

Colgate (9-5) advances to face Patriot League Tournament host and top seed Loyola Maryland University (12-1) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders lost to the Greyhounds 10-8 on March 29.

In a 7 p.m. quarterfinal contest at Ulrich Sports Complex in Bethlehem, Pa., Navy gave host Lehigh all it could handle for three quarters Tuesday before falling 10-6.

The Mids (4-9) jumped out to a 2-1 lead before the Mountain Hawks answered with four straight goals from four different players to grab a 5-2 lead. Navy fought back with a pair of Sam Jones goals to close to within 6-5 entering the final 15 minutes.

Once again, Lehigh (12-4) went on a four-goal assault, this time putting some distance between themselves and the Mids. Kurtis Kaunas had a big game for the Mountain Hawks with three goals and an assist and Dan Taylor and Reid Weber had two goals apiece.

Lehigh earns a rematch with Army in the second game at 7:30 p.m. of the semifinal doubleheader on Friday. The Black Knights edged Lehigh 6-5 on March 22.
