Navy keeper Matt Russell won his second-straight Defensive Player of the Week award and Holy Cross attackman Paul LeBlanc captured his second Freshman of the Week award when the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse awards were announced Monday. Hobart's Nate Hill was named the PL Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Hill wins his first Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week award after leading the Statesmen to a key PL victory over visiting Bucknell Saturday. Hill matched his career-best performance with five assists and seven points, helping defeat BU 13-9. During Hobart's 6-0 third-quarter run, Hill contributed a goal and two assists, then followed with assists on consecutive goals in the fourth quarter.

Russell captures his second-straight Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award after leading the sixth-ranked Midshipmen past fourth-ranked Georgetown. It was Navy's third win over a Top 10 team this year. Russell rejected a career-best 14 shots for a .737 save percentage against the Hoyas. Russell improved his goals per game average to 6.70.

LeBlanc wins his second Patriot League Freshman of the Week award of the season after contributing six goals, including the game-winner in a non-League bout vs. Siena, and two assists in two matches this week. He keyed HC's win over the Saints with four goals and a helper. Through seven games, he is tied for the team lead with 20 points and is second with 15 goals.
