  • The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team returns to action this week with one home game and one away contest. On March 24, the Crusaders will play Dartmouth in Worcester at 6:30 p.m., while on March 28 they will play at Bucknell in a Patriot League contest at 12:00 p.m.

  • The Crusaders have played three ranked team this season as they have played No. 13 Duke, No. 15 Navy and No. 20 Army.

  • Senior co-captain goalie Jimmy Harrison (East Williston, N.Y.) has 473 career saves which are ranked third all-time at the school. Harrison's .800 save percentage in the win over Hartford tied for the second best all-time save percentage in a single-game at Holy Cross. In the two games last week he only allowed 10 total goals with two against the Hawks and eight against No. 20 Army for a 5.01 goals against average. He was named the AT&T Crusader of the Week for his performance.

  • In his first five seven games, freshman Colin McGeehin (Newtown Square, Pa.) has scored at least one point. For the season he has eight goals and four assists for 12 points.

  • Sophomore Douglas Broussard (Floral Park, N.Y.) picked up 10 ground balls in two games as he had seven against Hartford and three against No. 20 Army.

  • Junior Chris Smirti (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) leads the team in goals with nine. He scored his first collegiate game-winning goal in the 7-3 win against the Hawks. Last year against Dartmouth he tied the school records for most points with 10 and most goals with eight in a single-game when he had eight goals and two assists.
     

     

  • Junior Brendan Candon (Long Beach, N.Y.) leads the team in ground balls with 23.
