EASTON, Pa. - Two Leopards from the Lafayette men's lacrosse team have been recognized by the Patriot League this week.

Senior goalkeeper Vinny DePasquale (East Meadow, N.Y./Chaminade) has been named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week and sophomore middie Colin Serling (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) has earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.

This is the first time either player has received the award in their careers at Lafayette.

DePasquale was a key in the 15-8 Lafayette victory over Navy with a career-high 17 saves and .680 save percentage this past Friday. He has stopped at least 10 shots in four of Lafayette's five games this season.

Serling tallied three goals and two assists for a total five points in a winning effort against the Midshipmen. His three goals and two assists were both career game-highs. He is currently third on a Lafayette squad that ranks first in the nation in assists with eight.

He is the third Lafayette student-athlete to be named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week this season, joining his older brother, Steve, and junior Tom Perini.

The Leopards are on a six-game win streak dating back to last year's season-finale win over Lehigh.

Lafayette currently holds a 5-0 record, its best start in school history. The Leopards travel to Lewisburg, Pa. on Saturday to take on Bucknell. Face-off is set for 4 p.m.

The game can be seen on LSN All-Access through GoLeopards.com.
