Lehigh's Ricky Cornetta was honored as the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, while Bucknell's Tom Izard was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week. Army's Adam Fullerton picked up Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honors. Rounding out the weekly award winners was Lafayette's Tom Perini, who was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week
Ricky Cornetta, Lehigh
Jr., A, Dix Hills, N.Y.
Cornetta netted a career-high four goals in Lehigh's Patriot League opener against Holy Cross. The junior attack had one goal and one assist against No. 16 Drexel. For the week he recorded five ground balls. This is Cornetta's first-career Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Tom Izard, Bucknell
Jr., D, West Hartford, Conn.
Izard earned his first-career Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award after Bucknell defeated Ohio State, 8-7, in triple overtime. Izard was a key member of the Bucknell defensive unit that held Ohio State to seven goals and just one goal in the final 39:06 of the game. The junior defender logged a career-high seven ground balls and added an assist.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Adam Fullerton, Army
Sr., Liverpool, N.Y.
Fullerton allowed just three goals in 48:50 minutes of work in a victory over Air Force. The senior netminder registered 13 saves and a .813 save percentage. This is Fullerton's second career Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week award.
Rookie of the Week
Tom Perini, Lafayette
Fr., A, Huntington, N.Y.
Perini totaled nine points last week on eight goals and one assist. The freshman attack netted a game-high five goals in a 16-4 win over Wagner. He then scored a hat trick in the victory over Presbyterian.
Honorable Mention
Kevin Colleluori, Colgate
Jr., A, Bethpage, N.Y.
Posted 10 points over two games with six goals and four assists...Scored a career-high six points off of four goals and two assists against Saint Joseph's.
Nick Sciubba, Bucknell
Jr., GK, Sea Cliff, N.Y.
Made 12 saves in a 8-7 triple overtime win against Ohio State.
Tim Harrington, Colgate
So., GK, Lutherville, Md.
Posted 12 saves in Colgate's victory over Saint Joseph's...Gave up just four goals.

Holy Cross Coach Honored
Holy Cross Head Coach Adam Pascal was named the US Lacrosse Coach of the Week for the week ending February 24. Holy Cross' 7-6 win on February 24 was Holy Cross' first ever victory against Yale. Yale had won the previous first seven contests in the all-time series starting in 1965.
Patriot League's Got CLASS
Army's Craig Massie and Colgate's Josh Back are two of 20 candidates for the Lowe's Senior CLASS award in the sport of men's lacrosse. The award, presented annually to NCAA Division I student-athletes each year in eight sports, focuses on the "Four C's" of classroom, character, community and competition. From the list of 20 nominees, a national media committee will select 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award in late March 2008. Those ten names will be placed on the official ballot for a nationwide vote that will include coaches, media and fans. The award winner will be announced and recognized at the 2008 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships in Foxboro, Mass.
Working Overtime
Two games involving Patriot League teams went into overtime last week. Bucknell defeated Ohio State, 8-7, in triple overtime and Colgate moved past Canisius, 12-11, in one overtime period.
Bucknell's win was the third triple-overtime game in school history and was the second-longest game in school history. Bucknell's 3OT win over Villanova in 1985 was five seconds longer than the game against Ohio State. Bucknell has now won four straight overtime games.
Colgate is 4-2 in overtime games under Head Coach Jim Nagle and 14-5 all-time in program history.
Scoring Streak
Colgate junior Brandon Corp continued his furious scoring pace with seven goals and two assists for nine points in the two contests last week. He has a team-best 13 goals and four assists for 17 points, an average of just over four points per game. He is riding a 20-game scoring streak and has at least three goals in all four games this season.
2008 Men's Lacrosse Championship
The 2008 Patriot League Tournament will take place on Friday, April 25 and Sunday, April 27 at the site of the highest seed. The top four teams in the regular-season standings will advance to the Patriot League tourney. The championship game on Sunday will be broadcast on CSTV.
Team Notebooks
Army Army captured a 12-4 win at home over Air Force on Saturday. Freshman Jeremy Boltus came off the bench to score a career-best four goals to go along with one assist. Senior goalie Adam Fullerton allowed just three goals in 48:50 minutes of action and recorded 13 saves. Senior Justin Bokmeyer added a pair of goals and two assists in the victory. Army will play at No. 8 Cornell on Saturday. The Black Knights dropped a three-point game to the Big Red last season.
Bucknell Bucknell earned an 8-7 win over Ohio State in triple overtime on Saturday. Junior John Togneri scored the game-winning goal with 2:25 left in the third overtime period. Togneri also had a goal in the third quarter. Sophomores Tim Brandau and Austin Winter each had two goals. Winter's second goal of the game was the game-tying tally. He added four assists for a six-point day. Junior Nick Sciubba made 12 saves and only allowed one goal in the final 39:06 minutes. Bucknell will host Mount St. Mary's this Saturday.
Colgate Colgate evened to 2-2 on the year with victories over Saint Joseph's, 10-4, and Canisius, 12-11 (OT), last week. Junior Kevin Colleluori tallied 10 points over two games with four goals and two assists for a career-high six points versus Saint Joseph's and two goals and two assists at Canisius. Colleluori notched the game-winner in overtime against the Golden Griffins . Sophomore Tim Harrington posted 12 saves in the victory over the Hawks. Colgate will travel to Holy Cross on Saturday for the Raiders' first Patriot League matchup of the season. The Raiders took an 11-4 game from the Crusaders in 2007.
Holy Cross Holy Cross dropped its Patriot League opener at Lehigh on Saturday, 10-5. Senior Toby Banta, junior Luke Marchand, and sophomores Brendan Candon, Edison Parzanese and Chris Smirti each scored one goal for the Crusaders, while freshman Matt Moran had two assists and Parzanese had one. Junior goalie Jimmy Harrison made 13 saves. Holy Cross will play at Hartford on Tuesday and host Colgate in Patriot League action on Sunday.
Lafayette Lafayette earned a pair of wins last week with victories over Wagner, 16-4, and Presbyterian, 17-2. Freshman Tom Perini had nine points last week with five goals and an assist versus the Seahawks and a trio of goals against the Blue Hose. Sophomore Steve Serling had a six-point game against Wagner with three goals and three assists. Lafayette opens up Patriot League play on Saturday when it hosts Navy.
Lehigh Lehigh started off the week with a loss at No. 16 Drexel, but rebounded with a 10-5 Patriot League win over Holy Cross on Saturday. Lehigh has beaten Holy Cross 18-straight times dating back to 1990. Saturday's win was the third-straight for the Mountain Hawks in their League opener. Junior Ricky Cornetta tallied five goals, five ground balls and an assist over two games. Lehigh will travel to No. 2 Duke on Wednesday and will host Wagner on Saturday.
Navy Seven different players produced goals in Navy's 12-5 win over Mount St. Mary's, including junior Michael Beggins who turned in his first collegiate multiple-goal game of his career. Navy's starting attack scored six goals and added five assists in the win. Senior Nick Mirabito paced Navy with five points on three goals and two assist, turning in his second-consecutive hat trick of the season. Mirabito is now tied for 15th on Navy's all-time scoring list (126), tied for 11th in career goals (81), and tied for 16th in career assists (45). Navy opens its Patriot League slate on Saturday with a trip to Lafayette. The Mids are 3-1 in Patriot League openers, winning each of their last two. The Mids are 2-0 in openers against Lafayette, including last year's 9-4 win.
