CENTER VALLEY, Pa.- Loyola University Maryland attackman Nikko Pontrello and goalkeeper Jack Runkel won their second consecutive Patriot League Men's Weekly Awards Monday as the Greyhounds took three of four of the categories recognized for the week ending Mar. 2.
Offensive Player of the Week Pontrello and Goalkeeper of the Week Runkel were joined by Defensive Player of the Week Pat Laconi following the Greyhounds 14-7 win Saturday at No. 14 Lehigh. Only a Rookie of the Week Award nod to Colgate's Brandan Burke kept it from being a Loyola sweep of the weekly awards.
Honorable mention went to Navy's T.J. Hanzsche, Lehigh's Tripp Telesco and Lafayette's Matt Evans and Jake Hyatt.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
NIKKO PONTRELLO, LOYOLA Jr., A, Marlton, N.J.
Pontrello had his fourth-straight game with three or more goals on Saturday, scoring four against No. 14 Lehigh in a 14-7 Greyhounds' win on the road. Scored three-straight goals during the second quarter as Loyola broke open a game that was tied 3-3 at the end of the first quarter.The junior has recorded at least two goals and three points in all five of the Greyhounds' games this year. He also had four ground balls against the Mountain Hawks.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
PAT LACONI, LOYOLA Sr., SSDM, Morristown, N.J.
Laconi was a major part of the action on both ends of the field Saturday in Loyola's 14-7 win over No. 14 Lehigh. The defensive midfielder did not allow a goal on a player that he was marking in the game, and he also matched his career-high with two goals.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
JACK RUNKEL, LOYOLA Sr., GK, Fairfield, Conn.
Runkel directed a Loyola defense that held Lehigh to seven goals and just 29 shots. Of those 29 shots, 20 were on frame, and Runkel turned away a season-high 13. He made a couple of one-on-one saves, including one on a Lehigh extra-man opportunity with the attacker on the crease. He was also credited with two ground balls.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
BRANDON BURKE, COLGATE Fr., GK, Potomac, Md.
Saved his best for last Saturday, making five fourth-quarter saves as Colgate defeated Bucknell 9-8. Raiders took their final lead with 4:26 remaining and held off the Bison from there. Three of his eight goals allowed were in extra-man opportunities. Eight of his 10 saves for the game were in the second half.
T.J. HANZSCHE, NAVY So., A, Berwyne, Pa.
Scored a career-high 6 goals in leading Navy to a 21-12 win over Holy Cross. extended his point and goal-scoring streak to a team-best 10 consecutive games.

Continues to put up big numbers, posting three groundballs and two caused turnovers in loss to #7/8 Loyola on Saturday
MATT EVANS, LAFAYETTE Sr., D, Marblehead, Mass.
Evans led the Leopards defense against Army picking up a team-high four groundballs and two caused turnovers.
JAKE HYATT, LAFAYETTE Sr., GK, Ridgefield, Conn.
Hyatt made 15 plus saves for the second straight game in the loss to Army.
