CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - CBS Sports Network will televise eight Patriot League men's lacrosse contests, as well as one women's game during the 2014 season.
The televised schedule begins Sunday, March 9, with a rematch from the first round of last year's NCAA Tournament when Loyola Maryland hosts Duke at the Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore, Md., at 6 p.m.
Lehigh visits Navy in a women's lacrosse contest on Wednesday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. Men's action returns on Saturday, April 12, when rivals Army and Navy square off at Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y., at 2 p.m. It will be the 93rd meeting in the series that dates back to 1924.
CBS Sports Network's coverage of the Patriot League continues on Thursday, April 17, when Bucknell visits Loyola at Ridley in a key League battle at 7 p.m. A day later, the Network will air another big rivalry matchup when Navy hosts Johns Hopkins at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md., at 7 p.m.
For the sixth consecutive year, CBS Sports Network will televise the semifinal and championship rounds of the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The semifinals are set for Friday, April 25 at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., while the championship game is scheduled for Sunday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. All three games will be hosted by the tournament's No. 1 seed, which goes to the team with the best regular-season record in League play. The winner earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
The final men's contest involving a Patriot League team on CBS Sports Network features another heavyweight rivalry as Loyola entertains Johns Hopkins on Saturday, May 3, at Ridley at 12:00 Noon.
