Warrior Division I Media Poll | USILA Division I Coaches Poll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Three Patriot League men's lacrosse teams will begin the 2014 season in the national polls as Loyola University Maryland, Bucknell and Lehigh all earned spots in the top 20 on Monday.

Bucknell came in at No. 14, followed by Loyola at No. 16 and Lehigh at No. 19 in the Warrior Division I Media Poll. The order was flipped between the top two Patriot League squads in the other ranking, as Loyola sits at No. 12 and Bucknell is No. 15 with Lehigh at No. 17 in the USILA Division I Coaches Poll. Army and Navy were among those receiving votes in the coaches' ranking.

Defending national champion Duke earned the top billing in the media poll, with Syracuse, North Carolina, Denver and Notre Dame filling out the top five. In the coaches' poll, Syracuse took the top spot followed by North Carolina, Duke, Denver and Notre Dame in the top five.

The preseason polls come after Inside Lacrosse ranked the top 20 teams in the country in its preseason Face-Off Yearbook with Bucknell at No. 15 and Loyola coming in at No. 19 in selections compiled by the IL staff.

The Patriot League preseason polls and individual awards will be announced on Wednesday during the men's lacrosse media teleconference, which begins at 11 a.m.
