Holy Cross Concludes Season With Loss At Bryant, 13-3

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to Bryant, 13-3, on Wednesday evening to conclude the season. With the loss, the Crusaders end the season with a 3-12 overall record, while Bryant finishes with a 10-5 record. Sophomore Colin Flood (Bay Shore, N.Y.) scored all three Holy Cross goals.

Bryant was led by Kevin Hoagland who scored four goals and had one assist for five points.

At just 10 seconds after the contest started, Flood scored a goal to give the Crusaders a 1-0 lead. Bryant then scored five straight goals to move out to a 5-1 lead. Holy Cross answered with a goal on a man-advantage opportunity by Flood off a pass by freshman Colin McGeehin (Newtown Square, Pa.) to make it a 5-2 contest. Flood then scored his third goal to make the score 5-3, but Bryant scored the last goal of the second period for a 6-3 lead.

Bryant scored the only three goals of the third period and then scored the only four goals of the fourth period for the 13-3 final score.

Senior goalie Jimmy Harrison (East Williston, N.Y.) made 15 saves, while Jameson Love stopped 11 shots. Bryant had 51 shots and went 1-7 on man-up opportunities, while the Crusaders had 19 shots and went 1-3. Bryant picked up 40 ground balls and Holy Cross had 22.
