Golf Academic Honor Roll Get Acrobat Reader

Center Valley, Pa.- Forty-two golf student-athletes have been named to this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, including 2011 Scholar-Athlete of the Year Peter Reilly of Navy.

Reilly earned a 3.58 grade point average in the spring term as a History major and has claimed a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in each of his first three seasons at Navy. A pair of Reilly's teammates, Chris House, a freshman Electrical Engineering major, and Chris Reed, a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major, recorded 4.00 GPAs this spring. Army's Matt Philie, a sophomore studying Systems Engineering, earned a 4.248 GPA for his academic work.

Holy Cross led all Patriot League schools with nine student-athletes making the Academic Honor Roll. Navy and Lafayette added seven student-athletes apiece to the list while Bucknell followed with six.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
