Center Valley, Pa. - Navy senior Ben Hayes and Army freshman Anthony Kim have been named Division I PING All-Northeast Region selections, it was announced on Tuesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Hayes had a banner season for the Mids where he was twice selected as the Patriot League Golfer of the Month. Hayes led the Mids with a 73.4 stroke average for the 2010-11 season, and tallied four top-five performances including an individual title at the Navy Spring Invitational for the third time in his career.

Hayes finished 11th at the Patriot League Championship on his home course, just missing All-Patriot League honors. He graduated from the Naval Academy last Friday with a degree in oceanography. Hayes was commissioned an Ensign in the United States Navy and will report to flight school later this month.

Kim becomes the third Army player to be selected to the All-Region team after a stellar freshman season. He led the squad with a 74.9 scoring average, winning two tournaments and placing in the top 10 in six of his 10 events. He finished in fourth place at the Patriot League Championship to earn first-team All-League honors and help Army to its first individual title since 2005.
