Bucknell University men's golf team will play at the NCAA West Regional, which will be hosted by Arizona State at Karsten Golf Course (par-72, 7,057 yards) in Tempe, Ariz., from May 17-19 (Thursday-Saturday). The complete 81-team tournament field was announced Monday by the NCAA. Last year, Bucknell ventured to Tucson, Ariz. to compete at the NCAA West Regional.

Bucknell received the automatic bid by virtue of its two-stroke victory at last month's Patriot League Championship, and will be making its second consecutive NCAA appearance. Last year, the Patriot League was represented by both Bucknell and Army, which was the first time in Patriot League history that it has two teams in the NCAA field.

The Bison are led by four-time all-Patriot League golfer Charlie Waddell, who won individual honors in 2005 and 2006. Other Bucknell players include Andrew Cohen and Keith Aoki, and both players received All-Patriot League honors. Cohen was the Patriot League Co-Rookie of the Year following his tie for fourth place at the Patriot League Championship, which was played at Bucknell Golf Course.

A total of 27 teams and six individuals not on selected teams were assigned to each regional site. Ten teams and two individuals not on advancing teams will move on from each regional to the championship finals. The teams will play three rounds each day with five golfers competing and the top four scores counting from each round. If Bucknell finishes among the top 10 teams at the West Regional, it will mark the third NCAA appearance for the Bison (1957 and 1961).

The NCAA Championship consists of three regional sites (West, Central, East) with 27 teams and six individuals competing in each regional championship. The top 10 teams and top two individuals not on those teams from each regional will advance to the National Championship, which will be played at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va.

Live scoring of the tournament will be available at www.golfstat.com
