WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Schuyler Stitzer and Pete Scialabba both posted 75 to lead the Bucknell men's golf team as it opened its spring season on Sunday at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort. The Bison tallied a 306 team score in cold, wet conditions and sit in 24th place after 18 holes.

Behind Stitzer and Scialabba, Bucknell received a 77 from Thomas Walter, a 79 from Dan Bernard and an 81 from Will Bachman.

Led by a tournament-record 5-under-par 66 from Emilio Cuartero and a 67 from Jace Long, Missouri has the first-round lead with a team score of 282. UNC Greensboro is just two shots back at 284 followed by Appalachian State at 285.

The tournament continues Monday and Tuesday at the River Course at Kingsmill.
