Trying to Move to the Next Level

Dec. 5, 2007

Fordham football stood tall this year, cruising to its first Patriot League title since 2002 and making its second NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision appearance. High on the list of standouts during the memorable season was Ben Dato, the Rams' senior punter.

When Fordham's season ended in an opening round, 49-35 loss to the University of Massachusetts on Nov. 24, the 2006 All-American punter didn't waste any time getting ready for his next challenge.

Dato - already one of the most accomplished punt-ers in the school's 125-year history - is looking to add his name to the list of Fordham players who went on to play professionally.
