CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - For the first time since 2009, the Patriot League has multiple teams ranked in the Football Championship Subdivision polls as Colgate and Lehigh each finished the regular season as top 25 squads this week.

The Raiders, who won the Patriot League and open the NCAA Division I Football Championship at Wagner on Saturday, earned their first ranking since the 2009 campaign when they came in at No. 24 in The Sports Network poll and No. 25 in the FCS Coaches Poll. Colgate was last ranked at the conclusion of the 2009 season following a 9-2 campaign when they finished at No. 20 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 21 in The Sports Network. The Raiders won the Patriot League and will go to the playoffs for the first time since 2008.

Lehigh moved back up into the top 10 of one ranking following its 38-21 victory at Lafayette on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks came in at No. 10 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 13 in The Sports Network top 25 this week. Lehigh is ranked for the 30th consecutive week, one of the longest streaks in the FCS. The Mountain Hawks were the top ranked team in each poll that was left out of the FCS playoffs. Lehigh finishes with at least 10 wins for the third consecutive seasons.

Lehigh is also ranked No. 5 in the ECAC FCS Lambert Meadowlands poll, where Colgate is at No. 8.

The Mountain Hawks also received a national individual honor on Monday when quarterback Mike Colvin was named The Sports Network FCS Offensive Player of the Week. In what would be his last collegiate game, the senior completed 25-of-41 passes for 362 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for a career-high 82 yards and one touchdown in a 38-21 win over rival Lafayette on Saturday. Colvin threw two of his touchdown passes and scored his rushing touchdown in the second half as Lehigh rallied with the final four touchdowns of the game, including three after trailing 21-17 at intermission. It was Lehigh's fifth straight win over the rival Leopards.

Colvin was the seventh Patriot Leaguer to receive a weekly honor from The Sports Network, the top FCS media outlet. A list of all the Patriot League football student-athletes to earn national or regional FCS weekly awards in 2012 is included below.
