WASHINGTON - Senior SLOT Keerome Lawrence (New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse) was named the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week after compiling 121 yards on five kick-off returns with a long of 43 yards, posting a 24.2 average on returns to help the Hoyas in the field position game return on the Hoyas 24-19 loss to Fordham on Saturday.

At Fordham, Lawrence also had six catches for 103 yards and six carries for 18 yards to record 242 yards of total offense. It was his largest offensive output of the season.

The weekly honor is the second of the season for Lawrence, who was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week on September 20, after an eight catch 129 yard, one touchdown performance against Yale.

The Georgetown football program has had three players, including Lawrence, junior QB Scott Darby (Tewksbury, Mass./St. John's Prep) and junior defensive end Andrew Schaetzke (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) earn Patriot League Weekly honors twice in a season for the first time. The Hoyas have earned seven PL Player of the Week honors through the 2010 season, a program-high.

The Hoyas (3-6, 2-2 Patriot League) have a bye week, before playing its final two games of the 2010 season at Multi-Sport Field in the following weeks. The Hoyas host Patriot League rival Lehigh on Saturday, November 13, before playing its final game of the season against Marist on Saturday, November 20.
