Center Valley, Pa. - Colgate running back Jordan Scott, Lafayette linebacker Andy Romans, Fordham punter Ben Dato and Colgate defensive back Mike Barry were named Patriot League football players of the week Monday.
Scott ran for 194 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in Colgate's 36-27 win at Lafayette. Romans notched 16 tackles, one tackle for loss and one forced fumble in the Leopards' loss. Dato punted four times for a 52.5 average in Fordham's 33-0 shutout of Marist. Barry notched eight tackles in the Raiders' victory.
Offensive Player of the Week
Jordan Scott, Colgate Jr., RB, 5'11, 205, Hyattsville, Md./DeMatha
Scott carried 44 times for 194 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in Colgate's 36-27 victory over Lafayette. All four touchdowns came after Colgate trailed, 21-3, in the second quarter. Lafayette was ranked No. 1 in total defense and No. 3 in rushing defense coming into the game. It was Scott's 21st-career and 10th-consecutive 100-yard game. Scott earns his third Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Andy Romans, Lafayette Jr., LB, 5'11, 215, Allendale, N.J./St. Joseph Regional
Romans recorded 16 tackles, one tackle for a loss and one forced fumble in Lafayette's 36-27 loss to Colgate. He reached double figures in tackles for the sixth time this season and the fifth game in a row. Romans took over the Patriot League lead with 94 total tackles, and ranks ninth nationally in tackles per game. He receives

Special Teams Player of the Week
Ben Dato, Fordham Sr., P, 6'3, 195, Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing
Dato helped preserve Fordham's 33-0 shutout over Marist by punting four times for a 52.5 average, and placing all four punts inside the 20. He also booted three of his six kickoffs into the endzone. Dato had a long punt of 56 yards. He moved to third in the nation with a 44.69 average per punt for the season. Dato earns his first special teams honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Mike Barry, Colgate Fr., DB, 6'1, 185, Naples, Fla./Barron Collier
Barry was Colgate's third-leading tackler with eight tackles, including four solo stops, in the Raiders' 36-27 victory over Lafayette. He was part of a Colgate defense that held Lafayette scoreless in the second half until the final minute of play. Barry earns his first Rookie of the Week honor, and the first for Colgate this season.
