Patriot League Announces Football Players of the Week Four different schools with honorees from Saturday's games
Patrick Murray set a Patriot League and school record with a 55-yard field goal on Saturday.

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Colgate, Georgetown, Fordham and Lafayette each had a student-athlete honored with a Patriot League football weekly award on Monday for a standout performance in Saturday's action.
Colgate senior running back Jordan McCord carried 34 times for 184 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in the Raiders' 51-35 win over Holy Cross to earn the Offensive Player of the Week award. Georgetown's Jeremy Moore and Fordham's Patrick Murray each had outstanding games in defeat to earn the Patriot League Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week awards, respectively. Moore recorded three interceptions, returning one 80 yards for a touchdown, to go with seven tackles and a fumble recovery in a 17-14 loss to No. 10 Lehigh while Murray broke his own Patriot League and school record with a 55-yard field goal as part of a great game both punting and kicking in a 49-17 loss at FBS No. 20/21 Cincinnati. Lafayette freshman linebacker Chris Brockman rounds out the award winners as the Patriot League Rookie of the Week after totaling eight tackles, a sack and an interception in a 20-10 win at Yale.
Honorable mention status on offense went to Holy Cross sophomore quarterback Steven Elder, Lafayette senior quarterback Andrew Shoop and Lehigh senior running back Zach Barket. On defense, honorable mention was given to Lafayette sophomore defensive back Shane Black, Lehigh senior linebacker Sam Loughery and Bucknell sophomore linebacker Evan Byers.
Patriot League Weekly Awards (Oct. 13)
Offensive Player of the Week Jordan McCord, RB, ColgateSr., 5-11, 215 (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young)
McCord had another big day for the Raiders with 34 carries for 184 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in a 51-35 win over Holy Cross on Saturday. It was his 10th-career 100-yard game, and his sixth consecutive to open the season. Three of his touchdowns came after halftime as Colgate broke open a contest that was 23-20 at intermission. McCord had 189 all-purpose yards, and leads the Patriot League with 144.0 rushing yards and 154.2 all-purpose yards per game for the year. He earns his first Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week award.
Defensive Player of the Week Jeremy Moore, DB, GeorgetownSr., 5-11, 185 (New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse)
Georgetown forced seven turnovers in its 17-14 loss to No. 10 Lehigh on Saturday, and Moore had a hand in four of them with three interceptions and a fumble recovery to go with seven tackles in the defeat. He returned his first interception 80 yards for a touchdown to give the Hoyas a 14-7 lead in the second quarter. Moore's turnovers came in the first half, with his final interception giving him the Patriot League and Georgetown career record with 318 interception return yards. Moore leads the nation with five interceptions for the season. He receives his second Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award of the year.
Special Teams Player of the Week Patrick Murray, P/K, FordhamSr., 5-7, 182 (Mahwah, N.J./Don Bosco Prep)
Murray broke his own school and Patriot League record with a 55-yard field goal in the second quarter of a 49-17 loss to FBS No. 20/21 Cincinnati on Saturday. He also made kicks from 38 and 46 yards out, and punted four times for a 47.2 average. It was Murray's second consecutive game with three field goals, and he leads the FCS with 15 field goals on the season (15-18). Murray stands third in the nation with a 46.33 punting average. He earns the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week award for the fourth time this season, and second in a row.
Rookie of the Week Chris Brockman, LB, LafayetteFr., 5-11, 215 (Richmond, Texas/Foster)
Brockman had a career-high eight tackles with a sack and an interception in Lafayette's 20-10 win at Yale on Saturday. The interception came with 1:33 left to stop a final drive for the Bulldogs. It was his first career interception, and the tackle total exceeded his previous five games combined. Brockman claims his first Rookie of the Week award.
Honorable Mention Steven Elder, QB, Holy CrossSo., 6-4, 207 (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights)
Elder completed 24-of-39 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns without an interception and ran for 42 yards and two scores in Holy Cross' 51-35 loss to Colgate on Saturday.
Andrew Shoop, QB, LafayetteSr., 6-1, 215 (Danville, Pa./Danville)
Shoop completed 20-of-33 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns without an interception in a 20-10 win at Yale on Saturday.
Zach Barket, RB, LehighSr., 5-10, 210 (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Schuylkill Haven)
Barket carried 28 times for 123 yards and a touchdown in No. 10 Lehigh's 17-14 win at Georgetown on Saturday.
Shane Black, DB, LafayetteSo., 6-0, 205 (Stafford, Va./Mountain View)
Black had a career-high 11 tackles and two interceptions, both in Lafayette territory, to help the Leopards to a 20-10 win at Yale on Saturday.
Sam Loughery, LB, LehighSr., 6-1, 215 (Glenshaw, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic)
Loughery had 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup in the Mountain Hawks' 17-14 win at Georgetown on Saturday.
Evan Byers, LB, BucknellSo., 6-0, 215 (Roaring Brook, Pa./Wyoming Seminary/Trinity-Pawling)
Byers totaled nine tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and two interceptions in Bucknell's 35-7 loss at No. 21/22 Harvard on Saturday.
