CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Four different schools had a Patriot League football weekly award winner on Monday, with two of the student-athletes selected having already won national FCS honors for their performances.
Fordham junior quarterback Mike Nebrich led his team to a 52-34 win over Lehigh in a matchup of top-15 Patriot League squads by completing 26-of-36 passes for a career-high 384 yards and four touchdowns and also rushing for 56 yards and a score. Nebrich has also been named College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) National Performer of the Week for his outing.
Colgate junior defensive back Mike Armineto racked up 11 tackles and two interceptions, one of which he returned 85 yards for a touchdown, in a 41-20 win at Cornell on Saturday. Armiento was honored as the CFPA National Defensive Perfomer of the Week for his big game.
Also winning Patriot League weekly awards on Monday were Bucknell senior punter/return specialist/wide receiver Kyle Sullivan and Holy Cross freshman quarterback Peter Pujals. Sullivan set Patriot League records for punts (13) and punting yardage (474) while also returning kickoffs and punts in a 31-7 loss to Lafayette to earn the Special Teams Player of the Week award, while Pujals went 33-of-50 for 345 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in Holy Cross' 41-35 triple overtime loss to Harvard and earned the Patriot League Rookie of the Week award for the third straight time.
Honorable mention status went to Lafayette junior running back Ross Scheuerman, Holy Cross senior wide receiver Mike Fess and Colgate junior running back Jimmy DeCicco and freshman quarterback Jake Melville.

Nebrich completed 26-of-36 passes for a career-high 384 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 56 yards and a score to lead No. 12/13 Fordham to a 52-34 win over No. 10/13 Lehigh on Saturday. The touchdown passes were for 25, 40, 62, and 12 yards, with three of them going to Sam Ajala. Nebrich recorded his third-straight game of at least three touchdown passes, and notched his third 300-yard passing game of the year. Nebrich leads the nation in completion percentage at 73.5%, and stands in the top 10 nationally in passing yards, total offense, completions and points responsible for per game as well as passing efficiency. He was also named the College Football Performance Awards National Performer and Quarterback of the Week, and is selected as Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for the third time.
Armiento racked up 11 tackles and two interceptions, one of which he returned 85 yards for a touchdown, to help lead Colgate to a 41-20 win at Cornell on Saturday. The interception return for a score gave Colgate a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, while Armiento returned the second interception 49 yards to set up the Raiders' final touchdown. His 134 interception return yards set a school single-game record, and the 85-yard return tied the fifth-longest in school history. Armiento leads the team with 48 tackles, and now has three interceptions this season and nine for his career. He was named the College Football Performance Awards National Defensive Performer and Defensive Back of the Week, and earns the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award for the first time.
Special Teams Player of the Week
KYLE SULLIVAN, BUCKNELL Sr., P/RS/WR, 5-11, 205; Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's
Sullivan was a jack of all trades on special teams as he punted, returned punts and kickoffs and served as the holder in Bucknell's 31-7 loss to Lafayette on Saturday. He set Patriot League records for punts (13) and punting yards (474), posting a 36.5 average per kick with three inside the 20 and seven fair catches. He returned kickoffs for the first time in his career with 90 yards on five returns (18.0 avg) and had a punt return for eight yards. Sullivan added a six-yard reception to his total as he also played at wide receiver. He is named the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Rookie of the Week
PETER PUJALS, HOLY CROSS Fr., QB, 6-2, 185; Glenview, Ill./Loyola Academy
Pujals put up another great performance by going 33-of-50 for 345 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in Holy Cross' 41-35 triple overtime loss to Harvard on Saturday. He threw a 20-yard touchdown with 3:11 left in the fourth quarter to give Holy Cross a 21-14 lead, and added a seven-yard scoring pass to put the Crusaders up 28-21 in the first overtime. Pujals set career highs for completions, passing yards and touchdown passes, and earns his third consecutive Patriot League Rookie of the Week award.
ROSS SCHEUERMAN, LAFAYETTE Jr., RB, 6-1, 202; Creamridge, N.J./Allentown
Scheuerman carried 20 times for a career-high 188 yards and two touchdowns and had 280 all-purpose yards in Lafayette's 31-7 win over Bucknell on Saturday.
MIKE FESS, HOLY CROSS Sr., WR, 6-0, 187; Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell
Fess had 11 receptions for 117 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-35 triple overtime loss to Harvard on Saturday.
JIMMY DeCICCO, COLGATE Jr., RB, 6-0, 201; Hurley, N.Y./Kingston
DeCicco had 22 carries for 141 yards and two touchdowns in Colgate's 41-20 win over Cornell on Saturday.
JAKE MELVILLE, COLGATE Fr., QB, 6-1, 180; Sparta, N.J./Sparta
Melville totaled 114 yards and two touchdowns in Colgate's 41-20 win over Cornell on Saturday.
