Center Valley, Pa. - It's the first weekend of football action against the Ivy League, with six Patriot League teams taking the field against an opponent from the Ancient Eight. Four of the games are during the day, and we'll bring you live coverage from the home opener in Lewisburg as Bucknell takes on Dartmouth along with updates from the other afternoon games on the Gameday Blog.
For the second straight week, the Patriot League media relations staff will bring coverage from the press box of a League school via the Cover-it-live format on the Patriot League Gameday Blog. The format allows for reader comments and dialogue, and will begin at 12:30 p.m. from Bucknell's Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
In addition to the Gameday Blog, there are plenty of other ways to follow the action on Saturday. The composite schedule includes any live stat, audio and video links for Saturday's games, and will also feature the recap from each school at the conclusion of the contest. The coverage links are also available in the weekly Patriot League Football release along with news and notes on the League and each game this weekend, and game notes from each of the seven Patriot League schools.
The first kickoff of the weekend comes at 12 p.m., with undefeated and Patriot League-leading Georgetown traveling to Yale. Lehigh hosts Princeton and Fordham visits Columbia in 12:30 p.m. kickoffs, while Bucknell hosts Dartmouth at 1 p.m. At 7 p.m., Lafayette and Holy Cross each have difficult road trips as the Leopards visit Penn and the Crusaders go to Harvard. Colgate has its bye week on Saturday.
