The televised action gets underway on the season's opening weekend, with Central Connecticut State at Lehigh on Service Electric 2 Sports and Monmouth at Colgate on Time Warner Sports Central New York on Saturday. The schedule includes 11 of the 21 Patriot League contests, with each League school appearing in at least one televised game.
Lafayette once again leads the way by televising all 11 of its games. The contests will be broadcast by the Lafayette Sports Network, and shown on RCN's series of cable systems throughout the Northeast, as well as WBPH-TV 60, an independent station servicing all of Eastern Pennsylvania - including Philadelphia -and Western New Jersey. Additional affiliates are also expected to be announced.
Lehigh will have nine of its 11 games televised, with each of the first six Mountain Hawk home contests shown live on Service Electric 2 Sports and via tape delay by Fox College Sports Atlantic (with tape-delayed airings coming on the following Thursday at 8 a.m.). Lehigh's contests at Villanova and Colgate will be shown live by WFMZ-TV Channel 69 in Allentown, Pa. as well as Fox College Sports Atlantic, and via tape delay the following day at 1 p.m. on Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh.
