Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham-Connecticut football game, originally scheduled for Thursday night, Sept. 1st, will now take place on Saturday, September 3rd, at noon at Connecticut's Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn.

The game was postponed due to Rentschler Field being unavailable for use on Thursday. The stadium is currently being used by the Connecticut National Guard for use as a commodities distribution center to provide towns and cities of the state that are in need of essential supplies in the wake of Hurricane Irene.

This will be the Rams' 112th season opener and the second time that Fordham and Connecticut have met on the gridiron. The first meeting, a 35-0 Fordham win, occurred in 1915.
