Greene Fighting for a Starting Spot at Lehigh

Lehigh's Devin Greene

Aug. 18, 2011

When Devin Greene was contemplating his future after high school, football was a big focus.

But because he is an undersized linebacker, Greene decided to concentrate on programs that would help him after school.

His choice was Lehigh University. The school in Bethlehem gave Greene the opportunity to further his education while playing the sport he loves.

"I figured the odds of me going pro after college weren't the best, due to my size," Greene said. "So I decided to look for a school that would help my education the most."

Greene, now entering his senior season, has become one of the Mountain Hawks' regular defensive contributors and is challenging for a starting spot early in preseason camp.
