Holy Cross' Stewart Ready for Final Season

July 1, 2008

Ryan Stewart doesn't even want to think about it. How can he be preparing for his final year of football at Holy Cross? How indeed?

``I don't want it to end,'' said the 2004 Wayland High graduate. ``It's crazy really. It just doesn't seem possible that I'm about to start my senior year.''

Stewart, a 6-foot-2, 227-pound linebacker, was a full time starter for the Crusaders last fall after starting seven games as a sophomore and three as a freshman.

In the fall of 2007, Stewart was credited with 51 solo tackles, 18 assists, six tackles for losses, one sack and one fumble recovery. But the most important statistics from last season for Stewart was the one under games missed due to injury. None.
