Patriot League Teams Set for Spring Football Games

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Patriot League football teams are nearing the conclusion of their spring practice sessions with intra-squad games on the schedule as early as Saturday.

Lafayette and Holy Cross have the first spring games on Saturday, with the Leopards playing their Maroon vs. White matchup at 9:30 a.m. and the Crusaders starting at 11 a.m. Georgetown will also hold a situational scrimmage at 6 p.m.

Bucknell will host its spring game under the lights on April 18 at 7:45 p.m., while the next day Lehigh will hold its spring game at 10 a.m. Fordham will hold its spring game on April 26 at 11 a.m., with Colgate also hosting a potential spring game on that date.

Six of the seven Patriot League teams have already released their 2014 schedules, with the first contests set for Aug. 30. The Patriot League schedule begins on Sept. 27 when Georgetown goes to Colgate and Fordham heads to Holy Cross. The Rams are now fully eligible for the Patriot League title after four seasons where they were not able to compete for the crown.
