Hamilton, N.Y. - Colgate senior linebacker Mike Galllihugh has been named to the College Sporting News Fabulous Fifty FCS All-American team.
Gallihugh was a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, given to the top defensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision for a second straight season. He led the Patriot League in tackling and was 14th in the nation. During the 2007 season, the First-Team All-Patriot League pick made 123 tackles, including 10 tackles for loss, 3.5 quarterback sacks and three interceptions.
It is the second national postseason honor for Gallihugh, who was previously selected as a Second-Team Associated Press All-American. He becomes the second Patriot Leaguer to earn a pair of All-America nods after the 2007 season, joining Lafayette offensive lineman Jesse Padilla.
