Bucknell Men's Basketball and Women's Sports Luncheons to be Held this Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The first Bucknell Men's Basketball Backcourt Club Luncheon of 2010-11 will be held this Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Lewisburg Hotel. Additionally, the next Women's Sports Luncheon will take place Wednesday, Dec. 1, inside the Langone Center on the Bucknell campus. Held at the Lewisburg Hotel on Market Street in downtown Lewisburg, the Backcourt Club Men's Basketball Luncheon takes place the first Thursday of each month during the basketball season from noon to 1 p.m. The buffet lunch is served on the second floor of the hotel and the cost is $8. Third-year head coach Dave Paulsen, as well as select players, will talk about the season, recap recent games and preview upcoming contests. The Women's Sports Luncheon is generally held the first Wednesday of each month throughout the school year. Each head coach of the in-season women's teams at Bucknell talks to the crowd about his or her team and awards a player of the month. Select student-athletes will also speak about their experiences as Division I athletes at Bucknell. Wednesday's luncheon will feature representatives from the cross country, track & field, volleyball and swimming & diving teams. The Women's Sports Luncheon is held inside the Elaine Langone Center's Center Room on the Bucknell campus and the cost for the buffet lunch is $7.75. The event takes place from noon to 1 p.m.
