CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Lehigh continued the run of success for Patriot League teams in home openers by downing Fairfield 82-67 in a contest as part of the NIT Season Tip-Off on Monday at Stabler Arena.

C.J. McCollum led all scorers with 35 points on 12-of-21 from the field, including a highlight reel dunk. Gabe Knutson added 17 points, while Holden Greiner had seven points and 11 rebounds. McCollum scored 21 in the first half as Lehigh (2-2) opened up a 40-30 lead at the break and held a comfortable lead throughout the second half.

American (2-2) suffered a rare home loss for a Patriot League squad as it fell to San Francisco 67-53. The Eagles were within two points at the half before the Dons pulled away with a 16-5 run out of the locker room in the second half. Daniel Munoz led the Eagles with 16 points, while Stephen Lumpkins scored 13.

Patriot League teams are now 9-3 at home this year, and all eight squads have already won on their home floor. Lehigh will be back at Stabler Arena on Tuesday to close out the NIT Season Tip-Off against Penn, while Army is at St. Francis (NY), Navy visits TCU and Lafayette goes to Maryland.
