Patriot League Men's Basketball Championship Game to be Shown on ESPN2

Center Valley, Pa. - The Patriot League Men's Basketball Championship game will be televised live on ESPN2 on March 12 at 4:45 p.m., it was announced Tuesday in a release of more than 1,100 men's college basketball conests to be shown on the ESPN family of networks in the 2009-10 season. The Patriot League Championship will also be simulcast on ESPN360.com.

The title game will be played at the site of the highest remaining seed. The Patriot League Men's Basketball Tournament is played entirely at home sites, with the quarterfinals on March 3 and the semifinals set for March 7. One game in each of those rounds will be shown on the CBS College Sports Network.

The Patriot League Championship is part of Championship Week Presented by Dick's Sporting Goods. American returns as the two-time defending champion in the Patriot League after knocking off Holy Cross, 73-57, in last year's title game.

The 2009-10 ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ABC, ESPN360.com, ESPN Mobile TV, ESPN Regional Television and ESPN FULL COURT men's college basketball schedule will feature approximately 1,100 games beginning Monday, Nov. 9.

The Patriot League men's basketball season tips off on Nov. 13, with seven of the League's eight teams in action. The League schedule begins on Jan. 9. Patriot League head coaches will all be present to open the 2009-10 campaign with the Patriot League Men's Basketball Media Day at ESPNZone in Baltimore, Md. on Oct. 29.
