Patriot League men's basketball media day was held Oct. 18 at ESPNZone in Baltimore. Holy Cross, the 2007 Patriot League champion, was selected as the preseason League favorite, followed by Bucknell, Colgate, Lehigh, American, Army, Navy and Lafayette. Holy Cross center Tim Clifford was chosen as preseason player of the year. Clifford was joined on the All-League team by Army's Jarell Brown, Bucknell's John Griffin, Lehigh's Marquis Hall and Navy's Greg Sprink.
