Center Valley, Pa. - After receiving individual honors from the Patriot League, Holy Cross freshman Justin Burrell and Bucknell senior Bryan Cohen capped their 2011-12 seasons with a spot on a Mid-Major All-America team from CollegeInsider.com on Monday.

Burrell, the Patriot League Rookie of the Year, was named to the Mid-Major Freshman All-America squad. Cohen, who won his third consecutive Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year award, received a spot on the Mid-Major Defensive All-America Team. They were among 25 players named to both squads.

Burrell averaged 7.4 points, 3.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game on the year for the Crusaders, while hitting 77.4 percent of his free throws (65 of 84). He finished the season ranked second in the league in assists, third in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.7-to-1), ninth in free throw percentage and 27th in scoring.

Cohen became the first player in League history to win an individual award in three consecutive seasons when he was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year in February. He once again consistently held top scorers in the Patriot League below their averages, and also cracked the 1,000-point mark in his career while earning All-Patriot League honors for the first time. Cohen averaged 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds for the season.

Four Patriot League players have now been honored by CollegeInsider.com in the postseason. Lehigh junior C.J. McCollum was named to the Lute Olson All-America Team, which includes the top 25 players in Division I. Bucknell junior Mike Muscala was placed on the Lou Henson All-America Team, consisting of the top 25 Mid-Major players in the country outside of the eight who made the Lute Olson squad.
