Crusaders go for a Pair of Patriot League Firsts
Holy Cross can become the first Patriot League team to win multiple games in any postseason tournament when it hosts Yale on Saturday. The Patriot League has three Round of 64 winners in the NCAA Tournament (Bucknell 2005 and 2006, Lehigh 2012) and three first-round winners in the NIT (Fordham 1991, Holy Cross 2005, Bucknell 2012). The Crusaders also aim to become the first Patriot League team to win a postseason tournament game at home, as League squads have an 0-3 home record in the postseason after Boston University's loss to Illinois on Wednesday.

Holy Cross Opens CIT with Victory Over Brown
Holy Cross earned its first postseason win since the 2005 NIT with a 68-65 victory at Brown in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament on Monday. The Crusaders built a 19-point first-half lead before holding on for the three-point win. Holy Cross is the second Patriot League team to play in the CIT, and first to earn a win. The Crusaders are in a postseason tournament for the first time since the 2007 NCAA Tournament.

Three 20-Win Teams
Holy Cross' victory over Brown gave the Patriot League three 20-win teams for the second time in League history. The only previous instance came in 2012, one of the most memorable seasons in League annals as Lehigh (27-8), Bucknell (25-10) and American (20-12) all topped the mark and made the postseason with the Mountain Hawks winning an NCAA Tournament game and the Bison claiming an NIT victory.

CIT Schedule
The winner of the Yale/Holy Cross game will face an opponent that is to be determined in the quarterfinals of the CIT next week on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The CIT semifinals are set for April 1, with the championship on April 3. All CIT games are played at home sites.
