CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The final Patriot League Anaconda Men's Basketball weekly awards of the 2013-14 season were handed out on Monday with Army sophomore center Kevin Ferguson named Player of the Week and Lafayette freshman guard Nick Lindner earning his fifth Rookie of the Week honor of the year.

Ferguson averaged 18.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 blocks as the Black Knights split a pair of games, while Lindner shined in a pair of losses with 20.0 points and 5.0 assists per contests. Honorable mention status went to Boston University senior guard D.J. Irving, Colgate junior center Ethan Jacobs, Bucknell sophomore forward Cory Starkey, Loyola Maryland sophomore forward Franz Rassman and Lehigh sophomore forward Jesse Chuku.

Kevin Ferguson, Army So., C, 6-10, 200; Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston (USMAPS)
Ferguson had a pair of outstanding games to close out the regular season. He started with his first double-double with a career-high 20 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high tying six blocks in a 71-70 loss to Boston University on Wednesday, and followed it up with 17 points, five rebounds and four blocks in an 87-84 win over Lafayette on Saturday. Ferguson made 15-of-18 shots in the two games. He leads the Patriot League with a 64.2% mark from the field and 2.5 blocks per game, with his 73 blocks this season cracking the League's single-season top 10. Ferguson is named Patriot League Anaconda Player of the Week for the first time.

Anaconda Rookie of the Week
Nick Lindner, Lafayette Fr., G, 5-10, 161; Doylestown, Pa./Germantown Academy
Lindner had two great games in defeat for the Leopards as he averaged 20.0 points and 5.0 assists while shooting 68.0% from the field for the week. He had 24 points on 11-of-15 shooting and also dished out six assists in an 83-66 loss at Colgate on Wednesday, and put up 16 points on 6-of-10 from the field in an 87-84 loss at Army on Saturday. Lindner earns his fifth Patriot League Anaconda Rookie of the Week award, tying Lehigh's Tim Kempton for the most in the League this season. Lindner was also named to the Patriot League All-Rookie Team on Monday.

D.J. Irving, Boston University Sr., G, 6-0, 165; Chester, Pa./Archbishop Carroll
Irving averaged 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists as BU won two tough road games to earn the No. 1 seed in the Patriot League Tournament.

Ethan Jacobs, Colgate Jr., C, 6-11, 235; Tipton, Ind./Tipton
Jacobs averaged 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds as Colgate won two games and earned a first-round home game in the League Tournament.

Cory Starkey, Bucknell Jr., F, 6-8, 216; Petoskey, Mich./Petoskey
Starkey had 8.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in two wins for the Bison, who have a six-game winning streak.

Franz Rassman, Loyola Maryland So., F, 6-9, 224; Washington, D.C./Gonzaga College
Rassman averaged 15.0 points and made 13-of-16 shots in a 1-1 week for the Greyhounds.

Jesse Chuku, Lehigh So., F, 6-8, 225; London, England/Kimball Union Academy
Chuku averaged 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games for the Mountain Hawks.
