The Leopards dropped to 12-14 overall and 5-4 in Patriot League play with an 85-68 loss to Army. Seth Hinrichs scored 17 points to lead the Leopards offensively, but Lafayette never held the lead and trailed by as many as 31 points in the second half.
Hinrichs (14.7 ppg) leads the team in scoring and has six 20-point games this season. Hinrichs has scored in double figures in 15 of Lafayette's last 16 games and 22 times overall.
Bucknell defeated Lafayette 66-51 on Jan. 19 in Lewisburg, Pa. and has won seven straight games against the Leopards.
Lafayette is currently 9-3 at Kirby Sports Center this season after its loss to Army. The defeat snapped an eight-game home winning streak.
With the win over Navy, Lafayette moved to 11-2 on the season when leading at halftime.
Tony Johnson is currently tied with Bruce Stankavage '91 for seventh in the Lafayette record books with 148 career steals. He is one shy of Keith Brazzo '94 and three short of Otis Ellis '89, who sits in fifth. Giese (100 career blocked shots) became the fourth player in program history to reach the century mark in rejections with one against Army.
Johnson currently leads the conference in shooting (52.4 percent), assist-to turnover ratio (2.1) and steals (2.0 spg).
Under Fran O'Hanlon, the Leopards are 117-118 in conference regular-season play and 13-26 against Bucknell.
