CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Patriot League announced Thursday that the Bucknell at Boston University men's basketball contest has been selected to air on CBS Sports Network as part of the League's television package. The game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at Noon EST.
Boston University currently sits in a tie for first place with an 11-2 mark in its inaugural season in the Patriot League, while defending champion Bucknell has a 6-7 record and is tied for fifth place.
The teams played their first meeting of the season on CBS Sports Network on Jan. 25, with the Terriers going up by 20 points and then holding off a late rally by the Bison for a 64-61 win in Lewisburg. Boston University features Patriot League assist leader Maurice Watson Jr. (13.7 ppg, 6.7 apg) and Preseason Player of the Year D.J. Irving (12.6 ppg), while Bucknell's Cameron Ayers (15.3 ppg) stands third in the Patriot League in scoring.
The rest of the Patriot League contests on Feb. 23 include Lehigh at Lafayette and Navy at Holy Cross, while the Army at American and Loyola University Maryland at Colgate games will be played on Feb. 22. Each of those games will be available through Patriot League Network.
Ten Patriot League men's basketball games have already aired on CBS Sports Network this season, with two more to come in the regular season and three in the Patriot League Tournament. In addition to the Bucknell-BU matchup on Feb. 23, there will be another flex game selection to close the regular season on March 1 at 2 p.m. EST. Patriot League coverage on CBS Sports Network will continue with the Patriot League Tournament semifinals on March 8 (3:30 and 5:30 p.m. EST) as well as the Patriot League Championship on March 12 at 7:30 p.m. EST.
