LEWISBURG, Pa. - With the weather forecasters citing the potential for a major snowstorm in Annapolis this weekend, the Bucknell-Navy men's basketball game scheduled for Saturday night has been moved up to Friday at 7 p.m. at Alumni Hall. Due to the team's revised travel schedule, Thursday's regularly scheduled Backcourt Club Luncheon has been canceled.
Bucknell-Navy Tickets are still available by calling 1-800-US4-NAVY or at the Alumni Hall ticket window on Friday.
Bucknell and Navy are both 4-3 in Patriot League play, and they are two of five teams separated by just one game atop the standings. Lehigh and Lafayette are tied for first at 5-2, with Bucknell, Navy and American all 4-3. Bucknell's only Patriot League home loss so far came at the hands of Navy, a tight 69-67 contest at Sojka Pavilion on Jan. 9. After a 1-3 league start, the Bison have won three in a row.
Bucknell is coming off a 55-48 win over Army on Saturday, while Navy topped Colgate 100-91 in its most recent outing.
As usual, Friday's game can be heard on Eagle 107 (107.3 FM) in the Susquehanna Valley. The audio broadcast can also be accessed free of charge via SportsJuice.com, and a live video Webcast will be available to Patriot League All-Access subscribers.
The next Backcourt Club Luncheon will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Lewisburg Hotel.
