Center Valley, Pa. - Lehigh junior guard C.J. McCollum and Navy freshman forward Worth Smith earned Patriot League Men's Basketball Anaconda Awards for games played during the week of Jan. 23-29.
McCollum averaged 24.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists in a pair of wins for the Mountain Hawks, posting double-doubles while scoring 24 points against Navy on Thursday and 25 versus Army on Sunday. He extends his Patriot League record to a 10th career Anaconda Player of the Week award.
Smith receives his first Anaconda Rookie of the Week award while averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in Navy's two games. He had a career-high 16 points with nine rebounds on Saturday against Bucknell.
Bucknell junior center Mike Muscala and Army junior forward Ella Ellis were given honorable mention for their performances last week.

Anaconda Player of the Week
C.J. McCOLLUM, LEHIGH Jr., G, 6-3, 185; Canton, Ohio/Glen Oak
McCollum posted a pair of spectacular all-around efforts to lead Lehigh to two victories and extend his Patriot League record to a 10th career Anaconda Player of the Week award. He started the week off with 24 points and 14 rebounds in a 71-60 win over Navy on Thursday, and followed it up by filling the stat sheet with 25 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, three assists and three blocks in Sunday's 83-64 triumph over Army. He became the first NCAA player since Dec. 30, 2009 to hit all of those levels against a Division I opponent. McCollum averaged 24.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists for the week. He is now up to 16 double-doubles for his career after the pair in the past week. With 49 points on the week, McCollum moved from eighth to fifth in Patriot League history in career scoring with 1,800 points. He passed former Colgate and NBA star Adonal Foyle for the most points for a Patriot League player by their junior season. McCollum ranks first in the Patriot League in scoring (21.4) and steals (2.5), third in rebounds (6.4) and fifth in assists (3.2). He receives his fourth Player of the Week award of the season, and third in the past five awardings.
Anaconda Rookie of the Week
WORTH SMITH, NAVY

Smith claims his first Patriot League Anaconda Rookie of the Week award after averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in a pair of games for the Mids. He tallied a career-high 16 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds in a 66-51 loss to Bucknell on Saturday after recording seven points in a 71-60 defeat at Lehigh on Thursday. Smith tallied 23 points and 11 rebounds for the week in 42 minutes of action. He made 10-of-15 shots from the field in the two games, including 9-of-11 from inside the three-point line. Smith stands second among Patriot League freshmen in scoring (7.4) and first in rebounding (5.1 rpg) for the season.
MIKE MUSCALA, BUCKNELL Jr., C, 6-11, 235; Roseville, Minn./Roseville
Muscala had an outstanding week for the Bison, averaging 24.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in a pair of victories. He had 21 points and 12 rebounds in Wednesday's 67-61 win over American with first place on the line, and tallied 27 points and eight boards in a 66-51 victory at Navy on Saturday. Muscala made 19-of-27 shots (70%) and 9-of-11 free throws (82%) for the week.
ELLA ELLIS, ARMY Jr., F, 6-7, 195; Houston, Texas/Eisenhower (USMAPS)
Ellis averaged 25.0 points in two games for the Black Knights, scoring 26 in a 74-68 win over Holy Cross on Wednesday and tallying 24 in Sunday's 83-64 loss at Lehigh. Ellis has scored in double figures in 24 straight games, including 11 20-point efforts during that span.
