CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League honored American junior guard John Schoof with the Rockin' Refuel® Performance of the Week award after he averaged 19.5 points in a pair of wins last week for the Eagles.
Schoof leads the Eagles with 13.1 points per game, helping them to a 6-0 Patriot League record. He and his American teammates will take on the League's only other undefeated team when they host Boston U at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
He was on fire in the first half against the Mountain Hawks and finished with season highs of 23 points and five three-pointers as American held on for a 65-63 win on the road. Schoof totaled 16 points in a 66-61 win over Lafayette on Saturday. He chipped in averages of 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting just over 50% at 14-of-27 for the week. Schoof continues to see plenty of action as he played 77 of a possible 80 minutes in the two games and is averaging 36.5 minutes per game for the year and 38.3 per game in League action.
