CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Boston University closed the first half on a 20-6 run and pulled away after intermission for a 72-58 win at home against Loyola Maryland Monday on CBS Sports Network.
With the win, the Terriers set up the first-ever contest of two teams at 6-0 in the Patriot League when they visit American on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Other Wednesday games which tip off at 7 p.m. include Army at Colgate, Loyola at Bucknell, Holy Cross at Lafayette and Lehigh at Navy. All games will be available on Patriot League Network.

*After trailing by nine points in the first half, Boston University took over and pulled away for a 72-58 win at home against Loyola Maryland on CBS Sports Network.
*The Terriers, in their first season in the Patriot League, improve to 6-0 in any conference play for the first time since holding the mark in the America East in 2002-03.
*BU closed the first half on a 20-6 run to turn a 21-12 deficit into a 32-27 lead at the break.
*The Terriers opened the game up with a 7-0 stretch to take their first double-digit lead at 50-38 with 9:20 to play.
*BU led by at least eight the rest of the way and held a double-digit edge for the last five minutes in the 14-point win.
*Maurice Watson Jr. led the Terriers with 19 points and six assists, while D.J. Irving scored 14 and John Papale had 13.
*The trio combined to shoot 18-of-25 from the field to push the Terriers over 50% for the game at 27-of-53.
*Dylon Cormier had 14 points to lead Loyola, while Eric Laster added 13.
*The teams were playing for the third straight year, with BU earning its first win in that stretch.
