CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - American wrapped up its non-League schedule with a 68-60 loss at home against Cornell on Sunday.
The Eagles (5-10) were up by one point early in the second half when Cornell went on a 10-0 run to take the lead for good. The Big Red went up by as many as 16 points, and American could not get all the way back despite cutting the deficit to four points in the final minute.
Stephen Lumpkins had his second straight double-double with 10 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, while Blake Jolivette scored 15 points and Daniel Munoz added 13. The Eagles held a 44-36 edge on the glass, but made only 34% of their shots in the game.
