Navy's Gameday Facts
• Navy closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule on Monday, Jan. 5, as it travels down I-95 to battle Elon in a 7:00 pm tipoff. The contest, which will be the first meeting between the two schools, will be broadcast on the radio waves on WNAV (1430 AM) and SIRIUS (Channel 123), beginning with the Navy pregame show at 6:45 pm. Pete Medhurst will handle the call from Elon's Alumni Gym.
• It will be Navy's second straight game against a Southern Conference team, as the Mids defeated Wofford, 75-70, on Friday night in Annapolis.
• Navy is looking for its 11th win in non-conference play for only the third time since joining the Patriot League in 1991-92. The 1998-99 and 1999-2000 teams won 11 non-conference games each.
• Navy has lost two straight road games (68-63 to Canisius on Dec. 20; 78-68 to 18th-ranked Villanova on Dec. 22), and boasts a 3-4 record in games away from Annapolis. Navy is 7-0 at home.
• The Mids have won their final tune-ups before conference play in each of the last two seasons. Navy defeated NJIT, 52-50, in the 2006-07 season, and Longwood, 73-55, in the 2007-08 season. The Mids will open Patriot League play on Saturday, Jan. 10, with a 5:00 pm tipoff against Bucknell in Annapolis on ESPNU.
• Navy shot 50.0 percent from the field for the second straight game in the Mids' 75-70 win over Wofford.
• After allowing just four of the first 11 opponents to reach 70 points, Navy has allowed each of its last three foes to score at least 70 points. However, no team has managed to shoot 50 percent from the field against the Mids.
• Navy continues to lead the Patriot League in scoring at 74.2 ppg. The Midshipmen have led the league in scoring in three of the past four years under Billy Lange.
• Navy boasts two of the Patriot League's top three scorers in Kaleo Kina (1st - 19.6 ppg) and Chris Harris (3rd - 16.2 ppg).
• Lange won his 99th career game against Wofford. He is now 99-89 in his seventh year as a collegiate head coach, including 60-70 in his fifth year at Navy. He went 39-19 in two years as the head coach at the US Merchant Marine Academy.

• be Navy's third in a row, improving Navy to 11-4 overall.
• give Navy 11 non-conference wins for just the third time since joining the Patriot League in 1991-92.
• even Navy's record away from Annapolis to 4-4, and snap a two-game road losing streak.
• be Billy Lange's 100th career victory in his seventh season as a college coach.
• improve Navy's overall record against SoCon opponents to 12-13, and be the third win in a row against the league.
