Center Valley, Pa. - After already making a pair of preseason All-America teams as a relief pitcher last week, Army senior Kevin McKague earned a spot on another squad as he was named a third-team utility player by College Baseball Lineup on Monday.

McKague was automatic out of the Black Knights' bullpen as a junior. The native of Fayetteville, N.C. was perfect in 13 save opportunities overall last spring, posting a 1.33 earned run average. McKague, who ranked third nationally with 13 saves, struck out 26 and walked seven in 20.1 innings of work. He established new single season Patriot League and school records for saves en route to a first team All-Patriot League selection. McKague was also named to the American Baseball Coaches Association Northeast Region First Team.

McKague was just as good at first base, as he batted .331 with eight home runs and 36 RBI for the season.

Last week, McKague was named a second-team selection by the NCBWA and a third-team pick by Louisville Slugger as a relief pitcher. He was joined on the Louisville Slugger team by Bucknell first baseman Doug Shribman, who also made the third team.

The baseball season opens up on Feb. 18.
