WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army baseball team, which swept Lafayette in a best-of-three Patriot League Tournament Semifinal Series on Saturday (May 12), will meet second-seeded Holy Cross in the 2012 Patriot League Championship Series May 20-21 at West Point's Doubleday Field.

The Crusaders swept third-seeded Navy to reach the PLCS, taking both games from the Midshipmen during last Saturday's semifinals in Worcester, Mass.

Army (39-12) and Holy Cross (32-20) will play a doubleheader on Sunday (May 20) beginning at 12 p.m., with a single game scheduled for Monday (May 21) at 12 p.m. (if necessary).

Army and Holy Cross split their four-game regular season series in Worcester.

The schools have matched up in the Patriot League Tournament just once previously, with the Black Knights defeating the Crusaders, 2-1, in the 2009 semifinals en route to the conference title.

Army will be playing in the Patriot League Championship Series for the third time in four seasons and the ninth time overall. It will be Army's seventh appearance in the PLCS since 2000. The Black Knights have won five Patriot League titles previously, with their most recent championship coming in 2009. Army also won conference crowns in 1997, 2000, 2004 and 2005.
